Our fee structure is based on the assumption that we will not personally deal with insurance companies.
There are numerous reasons for this: insurance companies almost always require a psychiatric diagnosis which then becomes a permanent part of your medical history; company representatives who do not know either you, me or my associates and who may be working in another state with the benefit of little psychological training are empowered to make decisions about the type services that are required and appropriate for you; and it is neither pleasant nor cost-effective for us to spend our time and other resources dealing with insurance companies instead of with you.
We are providers through Tricare, BCBS, and Aetna insurance companies. Referrals/eligibility/co-pay is your responsibility. Check with your insurance company.
If you do wish to file for insurance reimbursement, we will be happy to furnish you with a receipt, but you will still be expected to pay at the time of service, and it will be up to you to mail the receipt to your insurance company and to do any telephoning or other negotiation.
