Specializing in pre-employment psychological evaluations for area police departments and sheriff's departments, fire department and EMT candidates, and private protection officers. I also conduct psychological evaluations of children and adolescents for diagnostic purposes, as well as provide clinical consultation services to residential treatment facilities and child placement agencies.

Supervised three Associate Psychologists and provided clinical oversight for entire facility. Served as member of the Special Services Committee, which evaluated youth in consideration for parole. Also served as TYC representative in transfer hearings when youth were being considered for transfer to the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutions Division. Psychology Intern in the APA accredited internship site within the Department of Psychiatry. This internship provided a broad range of clinical experiences in a general hospital setting. The inpatient population included children, adolescents, and adults. Outpatient work involved adolescent patients and their families. The three inpatient rotations included work on an adolescent unit, an adult unit, and an assessment rotation. Assessment referrals included inpatients and outpatients, with referring clinicians requesting diagnostic information concerning neuropsychological impairment, personality functioning, and learning disability. Other activities included working in the Emergency Room as part of the Crisis Team one evening per week, attendance of weekly grand rounds, journal club, psychology seminar, case conference, and one grand rounds presentation.

RESEARCH EXPERIENCE
Dissertation research: Criterion Validity of the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory-2 in a State Hospital Setting. This research involved an analysis of psychological test scores of state hospital patients and their correlation with diagnoses at the time of hospitalization.
Assessment of social skills of adults who are dually diagnosed. This study investigated the inter-rater reliability and individual differences in consumer social skills using the Social Skills Assessment (SSA) to assess skill deficits in mentally retarded adults.
